Screen Rant: First of all, guys, congratulations on the film. I loved the world building in John Wick. It just gets better and better and better. And you guys are the faces of The Continental. So talk to me about where you guys stand with John right now. This takes place right after the second movie.
Screen Rant: Yeah. The crazy thing about this movie is you can’t trust anybody. I feel like there’s nobody that you could really trust. But Lance, you get to have a big part of the action towards the end of this. How freeing is that for you? How Fun was that for you?
Lance Reddick: Where we stand with John at the beginning of the film?
Ian McShane: I think they all know they’ll get comeuppance for giving him an hour and Laurence Fishburne for giving him a gun, you know what I mean? It’s like giving him a weapon. I mean, they know that they’ll probably face something from the High Table, but you know, the High Table piss me off and they piss him off as well. And our backstory goes back as we’ve talked about, you know, a little different, but we know that these characters have known each other for 35 years and have each other’s back.
Screen Rant: Was that the 87 11, did you prepare with them?
Lance Reddick: It was a lot of fun. The preparing of it was kind of a lot of work.
Screen Rant: There’s rumors about a Continental spin off television show. And by the way, that’s something I’d love to see actually. You’re my favorite character in the whole franchise. I’m just, just wanted to tell you that you’re my favorite character. But would you guys be interested in coming back for a Continental television series? Like a spinoff series?
Lance Reddick: Yes. Yeah. The gun stuff I did separately. So that actually I did more before I got to New York. Bthe stunt stuff was mostly after I got here. So, and I, you know, it’s interesting because I played so many cops for so many years, but I really like shot a real gun twice ever before, before training for this film. So it was kind of talking about a crash course, not just in technically, but kind of getting used to being able to have something in your hand that you can do that and it kills them. But was just so much fun.
Screen Rant: Guys, thank you so much. I never want to see this franchise end ever so keep it going. Thank you guys so much. Thank you.
Lance Reddick: For me it’s one of those, it depends.
Ian McShane: No, I mean I think they’d be fresh. That’s a different thing entirely. They’d be very out, you know, I mean, this day and age, I think they should have a woman manager if it were coming back. They should have the Continental run my woman and LA. I mean, they were already plans to. But no, this is very, it’s been a great trip so far from where we started with one, you know, terrific independently written movie, which we all came to New York. I had a good time. Some very good actors near where we are, you know, celebrating the fact that we’d done number three. It is bigger and better than the other two, which I know, I hope the people will enjoy it. I mean that’s a gift in itself for and actor. And we have a good time and Chad’s a great director and Keanu is the best, you know, star actually I’ve ever worked with. He’s the most honest, self-respecting and respects everybody else. And the hardest, hardest working man in show business.
