Hulu’s Devs cast features an impressive ensemble of actors and actresses. Created, written, and directed by visionary filmmaker Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation), Devs season 1 premiered its first two episodes on March 5, 2020.
Devs season 1 focuses on Amaya, a quantum computing company. Early on, a Russian entrepreneur named Sergei introduces predictive behavior technology to Amaya’s enigmatic CEO, Forest, and then receives an invitation for a secret program known as “Devs.” Forest explains that the universe is “deterministic,” and then makes a decision that sets up the primary conflict. When Sergei goes missing, his girlfriend Lily reaches out to Forest and discovers that something’s not quite right. She then calls upon her ex-boyfriend Jamie, a cyber security specialist, who’s initially reluctant to help.
