While many large businesses have embraced Apple devices, and seen significant benefits as a result, others are worried about the resources needed to support mixed platforms. That’s the problem HP aims to solve by supporting iPhones, iPads, Macs and other Apple products with an end-to-end service …

Device as a Service (DaaS) is an approach to providing comprehensive support for hardware devices exactly as if a company were buying a service like cloud storage. The DaaS company takes care of everything from initial deployment through configuration to end-user support.

HP says that it can help businesses choose the right devices for the job, and offers a three-tier service ranging from hardware repair/replacement, bulk enrolment and analytics through to a comprehensive package which covers every aspect of IT management.

HP is embracing mixed-device environments by offering complete solutions to customers extending far beyond HP-manufactured hardware. DaaS for Apple is the latest example, currently offered directly from HP in the U.S. with plans to expand to other countries and select channel partners over the next year.

Apple has accelerated enterprise adoption thanks to strategic partnerships with companies like IBM and Accenture. A report almost a year ago found that 99% of enterprise-sized businesses are using iPhones and iPad, while 91% are using Macs.
